The three year old program encourages growth in a classroom atmosphere which, for some children, is the first time they are separating from parents or grandparents.  In addition to learning social skills such as sharing, and listening to a “new” adult, they learn their colors shapes, numbers, nursery rhymes, and enjoy singing, story time and many, many craft projects.  A typical day in our three year old program is below.

#Social play encourages interaction with peers, sharing and cooperating in a supervised setting. The children’s librarian from Carnegie Library visits twice a month.

The four year old program will be a full-day program beginning with the 2015-16 school year.  We focus on readying our four year olds on readying for kindergarten and includes instruction on letters of the alphabet and sound recognition, an introduction to the Spanish language, science, math, and social studies.  We spend time each month on different units featuring dinosaurs, American Indians, the country of Mexico, and the Oceans.
