Message From The Principal

Registration is open for 2019-20 School Year

Dear SMCA Families:

I am humbled, and honored, to return to the 2019-2020 school year as your SMCA Principal.  Former principal, Mrs. Annie Raybuck, will be mentoring me during this transition.

My own elementary education began here at this school and it has always been a very special and sacred part of my life, for all of my life.  After graduating from Blackhawk High School in 1989, I went on to earn my B.S. in Education at Geneva College.  I have 25 years of teaching experience in the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh.  I was fortunate to gain 20 years teaching experience at St. John Catholic School in Monaca, and these past five years here at SMCA.  My mission is to continue the Catholic and academically superior reputation that St. Monica Catholic Academy has profoundly held for 130 years in the city of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.

It has been through the efforts of many individuals that this wonderful school has persevered into a second century of service. This only happens through the support of educators, families, parishioners, the community, and our beloved shepherds over all these years for the sake of one thing-our students.  I respectfully accept the responsibility to carry on this rich tradition.

In closing, “Let it be known that Jesus Christ is the reason for this school, the unseen but ever present teacher in its classrooms, the inspiration of its students, teachers, administrators, and staff.”

Sincerely & God Bless,

Mrs. Jennifer Villa
